Nutrition Counseling for Adolescents
Eating disorders can be hard for the entire family.
There is tension at mealtime, communication ends in arguments, and you run out of ideas to help.
In our sessions, we work with you and your child to improve their relationship with food. They’ll learn to become more flexible with eating, less anxious about nutrition, and challenge their unhelpful patterns.
What you and your child can expect:
Home Support Tools
Gain a better understanding on how to help your child work through challenges at home. We’ll discuss ways to encourage, validate, and support.
Coping Skills
Learn how to manage stress, anxiety, and perfectionism without using eating disorder behaviors.
Food Strategy
Develop a supportive and realistic plan for what to eat and offer for your child at home.
We understand the importance of caregiver support throughout a child’s recovery from an eating disorder. We seek to support your family in a way that makes sense for your lives, honors your family culture, and leaves everyone feeling empowered.
